Privacy policy

Overview

Franlever, operated by Area 15 Ventures LLC (“Franlever,” “we,” “us”), provides an operations platform that connects to the business systems used by franchise operators and their teams, then delivers monitoring, insights, and recommended actions. This policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to app.franlever.com, our websites, and the related Franlever services (the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account and profile data — your name, email, role, workspace, and login credentials.
  • Contact data — your mobile number, when you choose to receive text alerts.
  • Connected-systems data — operational data from the services you or your workspace connect (for example point of sale, accounting, scheduling, reviews, or advertising), used to generate insights and actions.
  • Usage and device data — log data, IP address, browser and device information, and how you interact with the Services.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and secure and improve the Services.

How we collect information

  • Directly from you, when you create an account, enter your number, or contact us.
  • Automatically, as you use the Services, through logs and cookies.
  • From the third-party systems you authorize us to connect on your or your workspace's behalf.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services.
  • Generate agent insights, recommendations, and actions.
  • Deliver the alerts and messages you request, including text alerts.
  • Authenticate you, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain security.
  • Respond to your requests and provide support.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information.

Google API data

When an authorized workspace member connects a Google service, Franlever accesses only the Google data needed to provide the connected feature:

  • Google Analytics — the GA4 accounts and properties available to the authorizing user, the property they choose, and daily aggregate reporting data including dates, sessions, active users, key events, bounce rate, and average session duration.
  • Google Business Profile — authorized accounts and profile locations, reviews, reviewer display names, ratings, comments, timestamps, and existing replies. Franlever may post or update a public review reply when an authorized user requests it.

We use Google Analytics data to connect the correct brand website, monitor customer demand, compare recent performance, and generate customer-facing AI COO recommendations. We use Google Business Profile data to map profiles to stores, monitor customer feedback, generate store actions, and deliver requested review replies. Franlever does not modify Google Analytics data or settings and does not create, delete, or edit Google Business Profile listings.

Our integration provider, Nango, stores OAuth credentials on our behalf. Supabase stores synchronized workspace records, Vercel hosts the Services, and OpenAI processes a limited, minimized subset of Google data solely to generate the customer-facing AI features described above. These providers process data for Franlever under contract. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized or shared AI models.

Access is limited by workspace role and store assignment. Disconnecting the underlying Google account connection removes its stored authorization and stops future access and synchronization. Removing one store mapping from a shared account stops synchronization for that store but leaves the shared authorization active for other mapped stores. Previously synchronized data remains in the workspace until the workspace is deleted or a deletion request is completed. A Workspace Owner can permanently delete the workspace and its connected-store history in Settings. You may also request deletion at support@franlever.com. You can separately revoke Franlever's access from your Google Account.

Franlever's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

SMS messaging and mobile data

If you opt in, Franlever sends operational text alerts and daily action summaries to your mobile number. Message frequency varies and is typically one to five messages per day. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not sell or share mobile opt-in information or consent with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Mobile information is used only to operate the Franlever messaging program and is not shared with third parties for their own purposes; where we use messaging providers to deliver texts on our behalf, they may process the number solely to send those messages.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help. You can also manage your number and consent in your Franlever notification settings.

Cookies and tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the Services (such as keeping you signed in) and limited analytics to understand and improve performance. Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Services work.

How we share information

We share information only in these situations:

  • Service providers — vendors who process data on our behalf under contract (for example hosting, database storage, integration credential management, AI inference, messaging delivery, and analytics).
  • Your workspace — other members of your workspace, as scoped by their role and permissions.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Franlever, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice consistent with this policy.

As noted above, mobile opt-in data is never shared with third parties for their own marketing.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and afterward only as required to meet legal, accounting, security, or reporting obligations. We retain records of SMS consent and opt-out for the period required by applicable rules.

Connected-system data is retained while the workspace is active unless an authorized user deletes the workspace or requests earlier deletion. Disconnecting an integration stops future access and synchronization but does not by itself delete previously synchronized workspace records. Deletion may take a limited additional period to complete in encrypted backups and security logs.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls scoped by role. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can:

  • Update your profile and notification settings in the app.
  • Opt out of text messages by replying STOP.
  • Disconnect a connected service to stop future access and synchronization.
  • Permanently delete a workspace and its connected-store history from Settings, if you are the Workspace Owner.
  • Request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. California residents (CCPA/CPRA) and residents of the EEA/UK (GDPR) have additional rights described by those laws; contact us to exercise them.

International data transfers

We operate in the United States and may process information there or in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Children

The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party services

The Services connect to and link to third-party systems and websites we do not control. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date, and we will provide additional notice if the changes are material.
